Beautiful People

How did we get here? How did we get to this moment you might ask? How is LA Beauty Connect in existence? Was it born out of nowhere? Was it created by two people obsessed with beauty? Yes, very much so!!

Since my earliest memories, I've spent my whole life trying to make myself and my friends more "beautiful". I plucked all my friends eyebrows, (some of my guy friends' fathers were not so appreciative of this). I did all my friends make-up and I "styled" all my friends. It made me feel good to make them feel special. My mom was a make-up artist at the Dior counter at Saks Fifth Avenue when I was 10 years old. Because of her, I learned how to do makeup at a very early age. Later, in high school, my mom had the chicest clothing store on Rodeo Drive. It was the late 90's, when she bought all of her inventory in Europe. I had access to the most incredible wardrobe and I have the fondest memories of her bringing back suitcases filled with clothes that my friends and I had first dibs on.

I was 27 when I got engaged. When it was time for my wedding prep, I got a trainer and I wanted to look absolutely perfect for my photos. I decided that was when I was going to start getting preventative Botox. Then I thought, well...I've been working out and working out and I'm not happy with my arms so I'm going to get some lipo on my arms. I went to a surgeon and got my arms done for the photos. I don't regret it. My wedding photos looked exactly as I had hoped. These were the days before Photoshop!

A few years later, I had my two girls and my breasts seemed to explode. My second child was delivered via C-section. It's pretty crazy how much pregnancy change a person's body. I am 5'3”, so, each pregnancy took a huge toll on me. I was always a size C, but, I went from a C to a DD. Due to my stature, this was becoming a problem for my back. I found myself having one back issue after another for several years out of nowhere. I decided to get a mommy makeover, with a breast reduction. My days of dreaming about wearing a white tank top and jeans were awaiting me and I was here for it. The best part, no more back pain!!!

Is plastic surgery for everyone? No, of course not. Is it for me? YES. So much, yes. I love everything about it. I love the smell of the waiting room. I love the anticipation of meeting the surgeon I am going to work with. I love discussing the "plan" we're going with. I love going to sleep in the OR knowing I'm going to wake up with something different and new and I love waking up to whatever surprise is waiting for me (hopefully not actually a surprise lol).

I am so thrilled and excited to be able to open a plastic surgery concierge business with my partner. It means the world to me to be able to help people from all over become the most beautiful and secure versions of themselves.

I realize that since I was a young child, my calling has always been to make people feel beautiful and I'm ready for it!
